So we can now cover subjects with films, clips etc. on areas where it is very difficult to obtain a speaker, but where we believe that the information is essential to the freethinker. From talking to people at the intervals etc. we know that many members of our audience have a staggering amount of knowledge about their own special subjects which really interest them, and whilst doing a two hour presentation can be daunting, a short talk is much more relaxed. We will follow the common format where each speaker will have 20 minutes or so to present on a topic of their choice followed by 10 minutes of questions & answers. We all know where we are in Space (geography), but what about in Time (biography, history)? If we get that wrong, we mess up - personally, nationally, globally. The old man pretending to be a teenager, the teenager unable to leave his childhood, the former imperial nation unable to abandon its imperial habits. There are the eco-doom-mongers who say: "it's too late, we're heading for a mass culling of billions of human beings." There are the New Age mystics who say: "a Golden Age is just around the corner. Have faith! Aliens or the Ascended Masters will save us." What we do in the present is determined by our understanding of our past and also by what we imagine the future will bring. The conventional concept of scientific evolution just confuses us with its vast astronomical numbers and reduces our lives and history to insignificance and meaninglessness, while religious explanations, whether traditional or New Age, present a bewildering miasma of interpretations: 'the Endtimes' (when are they actually?), 666 (what is it?), the Age of Aquarius (when does it actually begin?) or else, as in some eastern religions, no really helpful understanding of Time at all. Raise your vibration and spirit with a night of rhythm and fun! Come and join in with Phil for a chance to play drums and shakers to create a soundscape of energy. No skills needed. Phil will also perform impromptu live rhythm pieces to raise your vibration and spirit. Bring your own drum, tambourine or shaker if you wish, but there will be plenty of instruments on the night. If you haven’t been to a night like this before, trust us, it really is great fun. A not to be missed evening as drumming has always proved to be an extremely popular event. Followed By: "A Buffet Supper Provided By New Horizons" In the second half of the evening enjoy the hospitality of a supper provided by New Horizons.
